General comments

I haven't seen an awful of Jovetic at all, so my comments may not be the most informative/insightful. However, judging from the games I have seen him play (primarily in the Champions League, and judging by his track record, I'd say he's certainly got potential.

At the age of 22, he's already got captaincy experience, helped entrench a national football team and has played top level European football fairly consistently. That isn't half bad at all by anyone's standards to be fair. I'd say that Jovetic obviously has a nack for his finishing ability, as he seems to be able to squeeze a ball into the net from some stupid angles, and I'd say that's certainly his best attribute. On top of this, Jovetic is pretty skillful, but not necessarily in the typical skillful type. What I mean by this, is that he is very good at getting the ball around the defender, cutting back inside, changes of pace, etc. So I'd say his 'skill', is actually beating the defender in order to score, rather than tricks etc. I'd also say that he has a very, very good first touch - whether it's ball control or having a shot first time - both results are fantastic in most cases, and is certainly a very good attribute to have as a Striker.

I would say, as I always seem to be saying recently, is with regards to his strength. Now, to be honest, I haven't seen any of it. In any of the game I've watched of him, I have seen no/very little physicality from Jovetic, and it looks like he's too scared to get stuck in to a challenge for a ball, or just very easily shoved off of the ball really. It's a shame, but it's something which would take a ridiculous amount of work on his behalf, and I personally don't think he'd do it. I'd also say that he can rely on his team-mates a little bit too much on occasions, as I've rarely seen him make a run completely solo, or even create a chance for himself out of nothing - and I think that's what separate's the good players, from the world class players.

Would Jovetic cut it in the Premier League? - In my honest opinion, Jovetic is not a Premier League player. I could be wrong yes, but as I said, from what I've seen of him, he looks like a player who can easily get stuck in ruts, and because he's only just signed a recent 3 year-contract extension with Fiorentina, he would cost a fortune - and what would you be paying for? A player that COULD be phenomenal to the league, or a player that COULD be a total flop. It's just my opinion, and I do think Jovetic is a good player for Fiorentina and can motivate himself and his team on big European nights and big games, but you have to ask yourself, would he be able to do the same in a cold winter's night in Stoke? (no offence to stoke).

The Business End of the Profile.

There isn't an awful lot to say regarding this section on Jovetic, however I can say that the most interested teams at the moment are certainly Chelsea and Napoli. Interest from the other teams mentioned at the top of the profile did hold interest in the player, but that interest seems to have waned since Jovetic signed a new deal - thus increasing his price tag etc. I would also like to say that I am unaware of any interest from any other sides, as I know there has been much speculation regarding a bid for Jovetic from here, there and everywhere. However, this is not the case. I would say I do not expect Jovetic to move this summer, unless some spectacular bid was made that Fiorentina couldn't refuse, but in likelihood, that probably won't happen.

Thanks all,
