This lad recently joined Atleti for over £100m, making him one of the most expensive players of all time despite coming from Portugese football, which is not the highest level. It is a massive risk on that basis, but sometimes it is worth taking the chance when a player looks to be that good and, make no mistake about it, Felix really does look to be that good.

Felix is not the tallest, but he has a good leap which makes him good in the air, though he is unlikely to beat a big centre back to a header without getting a run on him. That is not really his game though or what makes him such a good player.

His game is all about quick, one and two touch football and good movement, though he is also very good at running with the ball and creating opportunities to play in others. Felix is excellent at passing and movement, with exceptional movement and decent pace, though not blisteringly quick.

One of the most notable things about him is his first touch, which is lovely, his technique in general is really good and extremely reliable. Felix strikes the ball very cleanly, which helps his passing as well as his shooting, making him accurate and allowing him to keep the ball tight in to his feet, which makes it difficult to take it off him.

Added to his calmness and composure, plus willingness to put himself about (which is very Atletico and will help him fit in well) makes him able to make the most of his ability. Felix also seems to have a sharp mind and good vision, unfortunately for him his teammates are not always as sharp, and he can be caught out playing the ball for a run that should be made but the teammate he is attempting to play in has failed to make the run.
