A very exciting young talent, he was seen as the best player in Brazil since Vinicius Junior. It is difficult to argue with that view, Estevao is clearly an extremely exciting young player with flair, skill and pace, in fact I would suggest that as of now he is the heir apparent to Mo Salah's crown as the best right winger in the world - if he stays playing on the right that is. He is raw, that is for sure, but my biggest worry is that the natural talent gets coached out of him in the chess-like football that is prevalent right now it Europe.



Estevao is tricky, quick and skilful, able to beat a man with skill and then make use of the space he gets with either a dangerous pass or shot. He is very good when he can isolate a man and run at him. What makes him particularly good for me is his work rate and aggression, something which you rarely get in flair players.



He will press and harry, he is also willing to get stuck in when needed, he does not get intimidated by opponents who try to bully him with physicality. If anything he seems to relish that, using it to bait players in to make a challenge and then sticking it through their legs or some other piece of skill to get clear. For a smaller, slight player, Estevao shows impressive strength, he is not out of place in the adult game, despite being young and still growing.



He is not the biggest, but he is very decent in the air too, with a good leap and timing, though he does struggle when up against a big defender, as Estevao lacks weight to stop him being easily nudged aside when in the air. His runs into the box, where he is always looking to get on the end of breaking balls to pick up a goal, are very impressive. So long as he gets the freedom to play and express himself, and make mistakes, Estevao has the ability to be something special.
