The first thing that comes to mind when you see him is 'he is huge' and you immediately understand why he is nicknamed 'The Hulk'. The lad is a monster of a frame, fills the goal almost without moving. Which is lucky because his footwork is abysmal and most of his goals are conceded by simply being too slow to move his feet to get across the goal.

Forster's slow speed off his line, his lack of domination of the penalty area, especially for a guy so big he should be able to just smash all aside to claim crosses, and positioning on his line are also weaknesses. His distribution is not top class, but it is far from a weakness, he has a decent long throw, but he does not often come out to sweep up to find out what his kicking is like under pressure.

His best attribute is his build, he is so big he becomes scary in a one on one situation, as there is little space around him to pick out and most shots will tend to hit him when he stands up. That also helps him with his shotstopping, he is big enough that a lot of shots will just end up hitting him even if slightly out of position or his footwork fails him.

It is clear he lacks the attributes to be a top class keeper, which is why he has been dropped, right now. Forster needs to improve his footwork, which is the worst I have ever seen in a Prem keeper, and work on quickening up his movement and reactions. Most of all though, he needs to dominate his area and bully opposing attackers looking to get on the end of the ball. A man that size should put the fear of god into attackers and make them pull out of attempts to challenge him.
