General Comments:

I'm sure most of you have heard of Muniain by now, and for good reason to. He's a very good player. As you'll see from the profile information, he isn't the tallest at 5ft7, but I tell you what, this kid has unbelievably quick feet to make up for it. I think his best attribute is lulling his opponent into a false sense of security and then setting alight with him magnificent feet and skill, and almost breezes past people, he makes it look incredibly easy. Muniain is also very pacey, and just seems to love running up and down that left side or middle of the pitch and slicing open defenses. Would he cut it in the Premier League? That's a very difficult one, but I'll have to say yes. It's difficult to say without watching any games of him play against English opposition (Except Manchester United tonight which I've yet to see) but I believe he has the skill and pace to cut it in this league. The only worry is his lack of physical strength, but nothing he couldn't adapt to at such a young age. The greatest thing is, at the age of 20 he has bags of experience even at national level. However, I understand that there have been incidents behind closed doors with Muniain, and he is reported to have some attitude problems which does not bode well. However, if these reports aren't true, or he can sort out his attitude, I think he'd be a great addition to our league. However, for 40 million Euro's (which Bilbao were offering him for), I can't see any clubs being interested, but as I said, the price tag should decrease significantly in the summer, and may just be worth a go. But who should he sign for?

The Business End of the Profile:

Muniain was touted around Europe as being available but the price tag was 40 million euros. Which put all potential buyers off, since then Muniain hasnt been the subject of any bid but I suspect should the price tag drop there are a few clubs who may register their interest. For the foreseeable future however, Muniain will remain an Athletic Bilbao player.
