Comments:

I must say, I have been watching Pastore for quite a while now, and more often than not he will amaze me, whether it's a 20 yard dribble or an acute pass, the main aspects of Pastore's game is dribbling and key passes it's a shame that a lot of the chances he creates does not turn into goals, which is why the assist stats mean practically nothing. However Pastore is a very inconsistent player especially in the 2011/2012 season.

A lot of people are still undecided whether Pastore will ever be worth the 40 million Euros PSG paid for him, but at 23 years of age there's still room for improvement. Pastore had a brilliant start in his Ligue 1 debut, but towards the winter part of the season November/December his form dropped completely and his immaturity was showing in 5 games for club and country he had a goal drought and an assist drought at this point in time Pastore was getting scrutinised by PSG fans and people were worrying will he ever pick up. He did manage however to pick up but he was still in and out of matches, his inconsistency is something he most definitely needs to work at.

Pastore is made for a counter attacking formation, within in seconds of getting the ball he could do a one-two and then make a defence splitting pass, he's not only good at creating space for himself he can create space for others, Pastore also has a tendency to dive out of challenges and would often let the players around him do all the tackling, however this seems to be very common with CAM's so it's not unusual and in the 4-2-3-1 formation the 2 centre defensive midfielders tend to do most the tackling anyway. Another aspect he needs to work on is his crossing ability, Pastore is another one of those CAM's who are very good at dribbling, passing and being able to finish but very poor at crossing a ball. In my opinion if he can work on his physical presence and work on his crossing ability, it will set him apart from all the other centre attacking midfielders. However he is only 23 years of age and with the right guidance he can easily work on this.

When Pastore moved to PSG I think it was the wrong time, I feel he should have stayed at Palermo for one more year and then move, however it was a good move to choose PSG over Chelsea. No disrespect to Chelsea but I do not think he would have been able to hack the premier league just yet maybe in two years time or even next year. Although I do have a feeling that he would move to Spain and never actually go to the EPL which would be a shame but quite possibly the right move.

Summary of Pastore:

Strengths: Through balls, key passes, dribbling, counter attack threat and being able to finish.

Weaknesses: Inconsistency Physical Presence, crossing and he dives out of challenges

If this makes it onto the site thank you for reading... criticism and opinions are welcome :D
