General Comments:
It has been said that Roberto Soldado only does one thing. The thing is, he does it so, so well. Soldado is a striker through and through, and just feeds off of goals. He can score through any method: heading, volley, long range, close range etc. Soldado is great if you want a natural striker leading your front line. He's also great at holding up the ball and offloading it to instigate attacks/counter attacks, and is genuinely a football clubs dream for his natural talent. Would he cut it in the Premier League? Yes. Yes he would. He's more than strong enough, he knows where the back of the net is, and he knows how to play his heart out every single game. I've watched him for a few seasons now, and when I used to watch him link up with the likes of Mata etc, it was magic. This season I had a feeling he'd really set La Liga alight, and so far he has, with 18 goals so far. Although he doesn't get much publicity, as he does play in the same league as Messi after all... haha! I personally think he'll end up in the Prem one day, but I would love it to be this summer. I think he'd be good at any top club, and for 25 million Euro's, would be a reasonable buy, and a very good one if he gets running and scoring. The best thing about Soldado is you know what you'll get with him, and that's consistent goals given the opportunities.
The Business End of the Profile:
Roberto Soldado was linked with a move away from Valencia for most of the end of last season, with Liverpool, Inter and PSG all heavily interested. However in the end Soldado signed a new long term deal with Valencia ending all clubs interest. Soldado will most likely not leave for at least another two years now.
